RMI Consulting, Inc. Selected by the City of Richmond, United Utilities and Austin Energy for Energy Risk Management Services
Chicago - September 26, 2008 - RMI Consulting, Inc. (RMI), a leading provider of energy price risk consulting and brokerage, has been awarded contracts to provide on-going services for several municipal utilities in the southeastern United States.
The City of Richmond, Virginia recently hired RMI for the implementation of its natural gas supply risk management program. RMI will provide market research, hedge program execution, credit risk mitigation, risk exposure monitoring and performance measurement reporting. RMI began working with Richmond in June 2007 after winning the bid to assist with energy risk assessment and policy and procedure establishment.
Revelation Energy Resources became RMI's newest addition this August, as they hired RMI to provide market research services for its client, United Utilities. The entities that make up the utility group are located in Tennessee and include Elk River Public Utility District, Jefferson Cocke Utility District, Powell- Clinch Utility District, and Sevier County Utility District.
Additionally, Austin Energy selected RMI to conduct a review of their energy risk management program.
These new municipal contracts continue to strengthen RMI's extensive energy consulting and brokerage presence in the southeastern United States.
