New England Municipals and Cooperatives Engage RMI Consulting, Inc.'s Energy Commodity Exposure Management Services

Chicago - March 5, 2008 - New Hampshire Electric Cooperative (NHEC) in Plymouth, NH and Reading Municipal Light Department (RMLD) in Reading, MA recently hired RMI Consulting, Inc. (RMI) to provide energy price risk management and hedging services for the natural gas component of their heat rate contracts. RMI has assisted each entity with the development of a strategic natural gas purchasing strategy based on time and historical price value buying increments.

As the initial strategy development phase for NHEC and RMLD has been completed, RMI continues to work with these entities in strategy maintenance and hedge plan guidance. Additionally, RMI continues to provide a number of municipals in the New England area with similar services including Middleborough Gas & Electric, Littleton Electric Light Department, and Georgetown Municipal Light Department.
